The Disability Rights Legal Center (DRLC) is the oldest program to represent the rights of persons with disabilities by providing free legal assistance to persons with disabilities who are victims of discrimination in violation of their civil rights. The program brings high-impact, high-profile cases to state and federal courts to protect and expand the rights of this community. These state-of-the-art cases raise public awareness and ensure that persons with disabilities can participate fully in society throughout their lives.

DRLC`s advocacy programme also works to remove barriers to the full participation of persons with disabilities in schools, health facilities, detention centres and public spaces. Disability Rights North Carolina is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Raleigh. Its team of lawyers, lawyers, paralegals, and support staff provide free legal and advocacy services to people with disabilities throughout North Carolina. As a state-mandated protection and advocacy system, Disability Rights North Carolina is mandated to protect the rights of children and adults with disabilities living in North Carolina.
