Finally, he tells them that his wife uses her sister`s credit card and that the troupe follows the purchases at a hotel. The concierge says the couple was on their way to Washington Square Park and the team rushed to the site. There, they see North Star and Susan`s wife and make an arrest. North Star says he receives no orders from a traitor to the race and threatens to detonate the bomb. Liv shoots and kills him, while Susan thanks her for giving the movement “the martyrdom they need.” Liv is shocked, even though she knows she did the right thing. Rollins and Parlato-Goldstein talk to AJ`s wife and get an address from his ex-girlfriend. Fin stops AJ and urges him to reveal where the other bombs are, saying that if they explode and kill someone, he faces the death penalty. He tells them one place, but doesn`t know the other three. AJ plays with an undercover shot to learn the other locations of the bomb and claims to receive new orders from North Star, the leader.
The cell arrests another member of the hate group, Tom, and he is spectacularly uncooperative. He claims he doesn`t know where his wife is, but they show him footage from North Star, which shows his wife in a dress filming the whole thing. New episodes of Law & Order: SVU air Thursdays at 9 p.m. on NBC. The promo for Law & Order: SVU Season 23 Episode 11 feels like a regular SVU episode, not to mention that Benson faces disciplinary action for shooting the Perp. Law & Order: SVU Season 23 Episode 10 felt more like a pilot episode for a new spin-off than anything else, leaving Benson`s future with the NYPD — and his sanity — on the line. In Law & Order: Special Victims Unit Season 23 Episode 9, in the crossover episode with organized crime, at the trial of Richard Wheatley, it was a roller coaster ride and the NYPD was the losers of the fight in a failed trial. Wheatley hit the murder charge for bombing Stabler`s wife so that he would be a free man. In a twist, we learned that his ex-wife, Angela Wheatley, was faking his condition and may have been the mastermind behind the attack! This thread was a weakness in an otherwise excellent episode that could have served as a pilot for the long-canceled Hate Crimes series. Could there be a renewed interest in such a series now that Peacock TV has proven to be a hit? If any episode of Law & Order: CSR needed a trigger warning, this was it.
Shortly after the previous episode and the explanation of the Christmas theme, it`s Christmas Eve and an extremist delivers a fiery and confusing rant rant on his podcast, spewing hatred while surrounded by AR-15s. His words convey scenes of escalating violence against Jewish communities as the man calls for a nation of “Christian God” and enthusiastically promises more and more violence against the Jewish people of New York. Meanwhile, Captain Olivia “Liv” Benson and her son Noah leave an evening Christmas mass when she receives a call about the hate crime wave. In the briefing room, Captain Declan Murphy is back to lead the Hate Crimes: CSR Task Force with some new faces. SVU investigates a popular radio host (Jake Weber) for rape and murder; Rollins goes undercover. When they brought Darko in for questioning, he claimed that the explosives were his roommate. They also found the video manifesto on his computer. They learned that four bombs were missing. Authorities have examined where the bombs might be. The squad takes to the streets on Christmas Day to look for clues. A priest identifies one of the three boys in the recordings, the boy who dropped a stone instead of throwing it.
Fin and Ruz find him and he finally gives them the other two names. Fin brings them in and they say they attacked the synagogue and pushed the Jewish man into the street because “these people with funny hats think they are better than us.” Benson and Murphy are invited to hold a press conference about the arrests, but Liv says they don`t have enough to link them to all the crimes. Parlato-Goldstein says the graffiti and messages were not the work of children: they were targeted, political acts of anti-Semitism. While they defend their point of view, we learn that a mosque is being bombed. Investigators met with nearly a dozen victims who were attacked. Murphy and Rollins were once an object, but they couldn`t talk about the past and focus on the case. One bystander, Don Darko, expressed his opinion that black children were in the neighborhood causing chaos. Another victim said black teenagers attacked her. It made no sense for them to attack Jews and Muslims at the same time as a group of white supremacists. During a blink moment, the teens explained their motivations to the police, but I still haven`t quite understood. At the scene of the arson, investigators found another bomb, which fortunately did not explode.
Murphy and Rollins finally had little time to talk. When they were together, she wanted children, but not him. He also went undercover abroad. He was removed and his death was faked just to get him out of the details. Smarter policemen dug into Darko. He was injured and hospitalized. He always said that black children did it. Rollins played as if she was racist and on her side. She convinced the man to give her the keys to her house so she could walk her dog. The detectives used it as an excuse to search his apartment and found a closet full of explosives! Benson and Rollins must deal with the FBI and the Bureau of Organized Crime when a rape victim (Herizen Guardiola) identifies a dangerous gangster (Rhys Coiro) as their attacker.
Unfortunately, the Special Victim Support Unit realizes that the perpetrator is much more connected than he initially thought, which further complicates matters for the victim. The FBI and the Bureau of Organized Crime want to eliminate the head of a criminal family with the help of the perpetrator. When they track down the attacker, Stabler shoots him, taking him to the hospital. When Carisi visits the Perp, the American marshals take him away. SVU does not know if he will trust Stabler and Bell after the outcome of this case. The lesson introduced some characters with whom Benson had a fleeting familiarity and who could easily be the stars of such a series. There would be a lot of potential for the crossover. RELATED: Grey`s Anatomy: Why Chyler Leigh Left (and Returned) The Hit Medical Drama Murphy and Benson visit the synagogue that was attacked and decide to do whatever it takes to get safety supplies from a bakery across the street. Detective Odafin “Fin” Tutuola and Detective Mia Ruz interrogate a Sikh man who was attacked on the street and shouted insults at Muslims, as the attackers didn`t even repair their own hate crimes. Captain Murphy and Detective Amanda Rollins mate and briefly talk about their previous relationship (when he fathered their child Jessie before infiltrating). A man with a dog asks them if they got any clues by flirting with Rollins and asking more questions. Although the hour was difficult, it was not a sermon.
In a way, it looked like a throwback to an earlier era of CSR, when the focus was more on crimes solved by CSR than anything else. It was a clean shoot. The guy said he had bombs and refused to stop moving. Police began to discover that the boys were responsible for running over a couple, but not arson, vandalism and attacks. Suddenly, another mosque had just been bombed, it was clear that black teenagers were not responsible! I knew this guy was involved before he claimed his name was Don Johnson. He kept appearing at strange times, obsessed with tricking cops into believing that black teenagers were responsible for terrorism. Law & Order: SVU airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. EST/PST on NBC. Captain Declan Murphy returns to the SVU troop on Christmas Eve, which is far from silent as waves of anti-Semitic hate crimes shake the city Teenagers ended up as a red herring, but I don`t know why they were responsible for half of the hate crimes.
